While in transit, every space traveler carried a postcard into space representing the Blue Origin's foundation, the Club for the Future. This initiative seeks to provide students with opportunities to venture into space aboard Blue Origin's spacecraft and presents a fully digital approach for designing and sending postcards.

The Club's objective is to motivate and rally upcoming generations to pursue careers in STEAM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics for the betterment our planet.

While many were thrilled to see the adventure, some thought it was a waste of time and resources. One user stated, “Wow !!!! You rock Guys!!! Some day, I will be there,” while another enquired, “How can I book a flight?”

Among the astronaut crew of Gopi Thotakura, were Mason Angel, Sylvain Chiron, Kenneth L. Hess, Carol Schaller, and Ed Dwight, a former Air Force Captain. President John F. Kennedy chose Dwight in 1961 as the country's first African-American astronaut candidate, but he never had the chance to go to space according to Blue Origin's official website.
