Fueling the Future, BUMAX Takes Flight with Key Fastener Order for Innovative Reusable Rocket Prototype.

French spacecraft designer and manufacturer OPUS Aerospace has chosen to use premium screws from Swedish specialist fastener manufacturer BUMAX for its new suborbital rocket and future vehicles designed to send satellites into space.

In a bold leap toward the cosmos, OPUS Aerospace, the French pioneer in spacecraft design, has strategically partnered with BUMAX, the Swedish specialist fastener manufacturer. The collaboration centers around securing the critical domes of a prototype cylindrical fuel tank for the Mesange suborbital rocket, setting the stage for a groundbreaking era in space exploration.

OPUS Aerospace, renowned for its commitment to democratizing space access, is gearing up for a significant milestone with the Mesange suborbital rocket. To fortify the structural integrity of the cylindrical fuel tank, OPUS Aerospace has opted for the exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and reliability of BUMAX 88 screws.

Ignacio Amundarain, launcher mechanical engineer at OPUS Aerospace, emphasized the indispensability of BUMAX 88 in handling extreme pressure loads. Rigorous ground tests, surpassing normal conditions, have validated the design of the fuel tank, instilling confidence in the safe operation of this vital rocket component.

Safouane Benamer, CEO of OPUS Aerospace, outlined the company's ambitious plans, including a test launch of the Mesange rocket in early 2024. This pivotal step will pave the way for suborbital payloads and orbital missions, bringing OPUS Aerospace closer to its mission of democratizing space exploration.

Lars Holm, managing director of BUMAX, emphasized the stellar reputation of BUMAX 88, a fastener choice renowned for its high strength, corrosion resistance, and low-temperature resilience. The excess supply of BUMAX 88 will also play a crucial role in securing other vital components of the prototype rocket, reinforcing the partnership's commitment to reliability and innovation.

As OPUS Aerospace and BUMAX join forces, the Mesange suborbital rocket emerges as a testament to collaboration, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of space exploration excellence.

Stay tuned for more updates as this cosmic partnership propels us toward new frontiers in the world of rocketry."
